SUMMARY

Northline Seafoods is a growing seafood processing company looking for a couple motivated, detail-oriented Fish Ticket Clerks for the 2025 Bristol Bay Salmon season. This position will play a primary role in managing fish tickets operations & ensuring accuracy onboard our Hannah processing barge, as well as assisting in training on our tender vessels. This is a seasonal, at-sea position that requires 12+ hours/day of work, 7 days/week. Must be available June & July. Position may extend into early August.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Learn and master tLandings fish ticket program, as well as manual fish ticket processes.
  • Lead fish ticket operations for our on-vessel fish buying stations.
  • Review fish tickets for complete and accurate data before finalizing.
  • Coordinate with Tank Managers to ensure fish are offloaded to appropriate tanks and lot numbers are recorded in our automation program.
  • Support the training of our tenders on both electronic and manual fish ticket processes. Assist in troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate fish ticket files.
  • Provide leadership with daily fish ticket reports as required or requested.
  • Monitor VHF radios and respond to radio calls when necessary and as directed by the Buy Line Managers.
  • Support buyline and deck operations onboard the vessel as needed - this may include handling vessel lines, moving cargo, ensuring buy stations are cleaned, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment desired.
  • Experience with Fish Tickets & tLandings system preferred.
  • Tender experience is a plus.
  • Dependable and highly organized with a positive attitude.
  • Communicates effectively with crew, fisherman & guests.
  • Ability to maintain complete, accurate & legible records.
  • Strong proficiency in computer programs and ability to multi-task across multiple screens.
  • Ability to work 7 days/week, 12+ hour days.
  • All-hands-on-deck team approach – adaptable in all environments & diversities.

This job operates onboard a stationary floating processing barge. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and both physical and digital filing cabinets. Employees must be able to sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time. Employees must be able to read and write in English. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. This position works in remote Bristol Bay, Alaska, with limited access to resources.
